Packaging Coatings
FOOD CONTAINERS – OTS CANS
Lacquers for Interior and exterior applications to metal can bodies and ends. All interior coatings are BADGE, NOGE Free and Complies with USFDA and EU norms. Coatings designed for internal applications as per needed performance for the type of food packed.
American Precoat Packaging Coatings for Food include:
- Stain Resistance for Red Fruits and Tomatoes
- Sulphur Resistance for Meat and Fish
- Acid Resistance for Fruits and Pickles
- Lubrication for easy release for Meats, Cheese
- Patented Zero migration lubrication system with no Wax.
- Reproducibility, Repeatability and Compatibility of Exterior coatings with processible internal lacquers.
- Coatings takes rigors of forming, excellent abrasion and scratch resistance.
For three-piece food can bodies and ends, American Precoat offers interior coatings based on Epoxy Phenolics, Organosols and are available in Clear, Gold, Aluminized and Zinc Oxide. Also available is new White coating with excellent chemical and stain resistance. Side stripe coatings also gives superior protection and coverage of the seam, and work in concert with the interior lacquer applied.
External basecoat and varnish complete the food packaging coating line and are designed for process compatibility with American Precoat interior food can coatings.
General Line Coatings
American Precoat internal and external coatings meet the requirements of metal packaging in a range of shapes, sizes and configurations, from shoe polish tins to biscuit tins to lubricant and paint cans to drums and barrels. American Precoat offers a range of internal lacquers for drums and barrels in Gold, Buff having varied chemical resistance.
The coating system for General Lines containers consists of:
- Primers/Sizecoats
- Sizeless Non-Yellowing White basecoats with good ink acceptance
- High Gloss topcoats for additional aesthetic appeal to containers
- FDA compliant internal coatings are also available with good chemical resistance
- Coatings having excellent flexibility, drawability and chemical resistance are available.
Protective Coating
- Patented Zero migration lubrication system with no Wax.

Aerosols Coating
- Aerosols are used to package a wide range of Products. ranging from Food and pharmaceuticals to Toiletries, American Precoat offers internal protective and exterior base and top coatings.
- External coatings are decorative and protective. These coatings meet the technical requirements in terms of flexibility and resistance to abrasion, thereby assuring that no alteration occurs during processing, storage and transportation.
- We offer a sizeless basecoat and varnish system that eliminates the need for a size coat by achieving maximum coverage and protection with a unique white basecoat and clear top coat. Exterior basecoats provide superior, uniform metal coverage, adhesion and ink receptivity. Custom finishes for a unique feel and appearance are also available.
In addition to above there is a range of internal lacquer for Aerosols. These lacquers are protective against the reaction between the metal and the chemically. aggressive contents. American Precoat has internal lacquers for both 3-piece and Monobloc Aerosols.
American Precoat also has coatings both internal and exterior for Metal Tubes Collapsible Tubes. These coatings are highly flexible and offer very good chemical resistance. Also available is the Flexible exterior coatings for Plastic tubes, having excellent barrier properties in Glossy and Matt finishes.
